Adorn Your Ears Wednesday: Spring Earrings

While times are trying, turning to creating is the perfect escape and coping mechanism. My friend Diana is doing a challenge to create a pair of earrings on Wednesdays and a bracelet on Mondays and since I'm a little ball of stress right now I thought I'd join in the fun!

These adorable tassels are from Beads to Live By. I love wearing yellow and pair up often with coral and teal for a spring palette. For this pair I created a loop, slipped on the tassel, closed the loop and wrapped the wire above the loop. I strung on a facted metal bead, Humblebeads Disk bead, a forget-me-knot glass spacer, a hematite spacer and an 8mm English cut bead.

I'm on a roll with little dangles to dance around on your ears! For this pair I made a cluster of flowers, each one on a ball headpin with wrapped loops. On a wrapped loop I added the flowers with a small jump ring. I strung on a Czech glass flower, flower bead cap, polymer clay bead, a hematite spacer and a 6mm melon bead.

I really like these guys. Who doesn't love a little tassel? I cut three lengths of 1 1/4" of chain and added them to the bottom of simple loop on 20 gauge wire. I added the bead cap on the wire and a small faceted spacer and finsihed with a simple loop. I created a bead link with a Humblebeads disk bead, flower bead cap and 6mm melon bead.

Loved them so much, I had to make them in another color! Kits for all four of the earings can be found here.
