Wildflower Meadow Knotted Necklace

Here is a simple bead soup necklace design that uses a fun mix of Czech glass in various shapes, colors and textures. You'll need enough beads to knot a 32" necklace. I used about 180 beads ranging from 2mm - 12mm and 70" of 4 ply waxed linen.

I started the necklace by using 6" of 19 gauge dark steel annealed wire. I created a wrapped loop bail on top of the pendant. A Czech glass maple leaf on a ball headpin and a copper leaf on a 6mm rope jump ring are attached to a 15mm rope jump ring in a copper finish.

Sun & Sand Inspirations

Today on Bead Table Wednesday I shared how to make this necklace and earring set using a little knotting magic and an old wire-working classic. You can watch the video here: https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=547036782634147

Watch the video first to learn the techniques. Here is the pattern for the knotted necklace:

1. On each strand, string 2 pinch beads, tie a knot with both strands.

2. On one strand, string a 6mm bead, tie a knot with both strands.

Knotted Piggy Beads

I used 120" of 4 ply waxed linen for the necklace and each of the peanut seed bead sections have 14 beads on each side.

June Vintaj Inspiration Box

Today on Facebook I did the live unboxing of the Vintaj VIP Inspiration Box for June, it's their new monthly subscription box filled with $150 worth of Vintaj components and beads. You can watch the video here. So my finished necklace looks a little different from where I ended off on the video. I decided the smaller metal pieces didn't quite work on the design and went with large rope jump rings instead.
