August Vintaj Inspiration Box

This is a little late, I've been recovering from a hand injury. But I've been dreaming all month of what I could create with the August Vintaj Subscription Box. If you missed the unboxing video on Facebook you can view it here.  https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=1165366510505338&extid=zZBNv29WkiTACiXS

This post is sponsored by Vintaj, thanks for partnering with me for this content! You can read all about the Vintaj VIP Subscription Box here. Each month they send $150 worth of curated supplies for $39.50. I've created 5-6 pieces from each box so far. I love discovering new Vintaj finds and stretching my creativity each month.

This is the pendant I made on the video, click the link above to watch how I created it. The silver link and chain are from Vintaj but weren't included in the box. I also added in my disk beads and wobble spacers. Because Vintaj includes a little bead collection of glass, lucite, crystals and stones you have a color palette to play with each month. So I kept with the inspiration palette using an earthy mix of purples, greens and neutral colors.

I wanted to play a little and do something different with the filigree components for these earrings. So I bent them over and encased a glass leaf inside using a headpin. The headpin goes through the top of the filigree and is finished off with my wobble spacer beads. I added the tiny Green Girl Studio nest charms from my stash. The earwires are also Vintaj.

Here you can see how I bent the filigree and used what was the top loop to dangle the nest charms.

For this bracelet I used the filigree leaf charms, the lucite circle component and the glass beads from the subscription box. The tree button is from Green Girl Studios. The ceramic bead is from Firefly Design Studio. The bird connector is one of my creations. The chunky jump rings are also from Vintaj. For the clasp, I tied some 1.5mm leather to create the clasp for the button.

I borrowed Jess' idea from the inspiration card in the subscription box and hammered a simple texture on the brass leaf blank. The little glass bead dangling from the pendant was also in the box. The rest if from my stash. I paired a Green Girl Studio nest, silver link and the knot toggle from Vintaj with another ceramic bead from Firefly designs. The disk beads and bird house bead are from Humblebeads along with the Czech glass. I knotted the Czech glass beads on 4ply waxed linen in a dark navy blue color.

I used the brass frame charms from the subscription box and layered it with Vintaj bird charms from my stash. Disk beads from Humblebeads along with Vintaj bead caps and Czech glass flowers add a bit of color to the design.

For my final design I used the bird pendant, agate stone and glass daggers from the Vintaj box. I pulled the Vintaj oak leaf pendant and fancy jump rings from my stash along with the ceramic bead from Golem beads, I added one of my disk beads to tie into the rest of the collection. I used 1.5mm leather to finish the pendant.

I love creating a collection of jewelry each month using the color palette and the components from the box as my starting point. Mixing the pieces from the box with my collection of art beads and Czech glass help me get the most out of the box to create really unique pieces. I look forward to my Vintaj box of goodies at the beginning of each month! Join me this Wednesday on my Humblebeads Facebook page for the September unboxing!
