Pity Party Day 1 - Bust Your Stash

Friday, August 23, 2013

Today to avoid bead envy for those lucky sticks at Bead Fest, we are busting our bead stash!  My challenge for you is to dig in that bead stash and pull out something that hasn't seen the light of day for a while. If you have been to a big bead show, I challenge you to find something from a past bead show purchase.  You can share a photo and story about it.  Create something with it or give it away on your blog or Facebook page.

I pulled some beads this week to bust my stash with a color palette and theme in mind.  I'm going for autumn fields. I will need to darken up my colors a bit with steel wire and darker stones like smoky quartz and maybe some wood. Some how keys starting showing up too! I can't wait to find some time later today to transform these beads into jewelry.  I'm super inspired!

Show above: Vintage Meadows flowers, Humblebeads Disks and Tesori Trovati Simple Truths Pendants.

In this photo I have a great collection of More Skye Jewels pendants and components - some have been in my stash for a while others just joined the party in May when Marie came to visit me.  I have a few bird pendants from Green Girl Studios. I can't remember where I got the glass encased skeleton key - it's been that long! Ceramic beads on the top from Diane Hawkey, Earthenwood and Elaine Ray.

Now it's your turn!

For the giveaway I will pick one random comment for a $25 gift certificate to my website, If you "bust your stash" today and blog or share about it on the Creative Bead Chat Facebook group you'll be entered twice - be sure to let me know if you do that in the comments too.  I will give you until Sunday to bust your stash and will pick the winner Monday morning.

Check out the Bead Stash Bead Sale details here.

Remember - the more the merrier! Invite your friends to play along and share today's post!

Coincidence Stash Busting

1st of all your stash is just awesome!!! I'd love to win!!
Weird because I got out some ceramic beads made in Peru that I've had least 13 years and luckily matched a small Gaea bundle a friend gave me when she stash busted. Making a little necklace but not sure what I'm gonna do with it. Hmmm...

I haven't had the opportunity to go to a bead show though I would love to do so. I do love your stash though and I plan on taking advantage of some of the discount codes that are being offered.

Bust Your Stash

I'll bust my stash and put it on the facebook page. I've got some ceramic pieces that aren't as nice as yours (and some of yours I'm hoarding for now) that I'll "bust". Hope I win! Thanks

Mmm, what can I bear to let go of?

I'm thinking about what to bust from my stash. It's a busy weekend for us, but I'm sure I can find some time to create something too. I'll definitely share what I come up with! Maybe it's time for me to let go of one of YOUR beads Heather!

Bead Stash

One of my favorite activities is to comb through my bead stash looking for just the right piece and re-discovering little treasures along the way!

Pity party

I would love to bust my stash. I have a great set of beads I ordered from Tree Wings, that I've never gotten made. But I'm riding a motorcycle back from NC/Virginia with my hubby this weekend, into next week so I won't be home to play till later in the week. But would love a chance at your giveaway.

I want your stash!

I've got some items I'm working with right now that I got over a year ago. It's fun to pull them out and try to figure out what I was thinking about when I got them.
I have to say though, your stash is WAY better than mine. =)
