Today on Bead Table Wednesday I shared how to make this necklace and earring set using a little knotting magic and an old wire-working classic. You can watch the video here: https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=547036782634147

Watch the video first to learn the techniques. Here is the pattern for the knotted necklace:

1. On each strand, string 2 pinch beads, tie a knot with both strands.

2. On one strand, string a 6mm bead, tie a knot with both strands.

3. On one strand of waxed linen string through an o-bead, string the other strand going through the bead in the opposite direction. Pull the o-bead down to the last knot. Pull both strands of linen above the o-bead and tie a knot with both strands.

4. Repeat step 3 with the glass disk bead. And again with another o-bead.

5. Repeat steps 1-4 two more times. Repeat step 1-3 one more time.

6. On one strand, string a pinch bead, tie a knot with both strands. Alternate the strand you string the bead on and repeat 2 more times. Knot an o-bead.

7. Repeat steps 6 four more times.

8. Add two more knotted pinch beads and 5 knotted o-beads.

9. Repeat the pattern on the other side and tie the four strands together. Trim off to desired length in the back.
